There are so many games available for computers and it's hard to think of which PC games are the absolute kings. There are excellent titles and references of all genres, ranging from the 90s to the present. Half-Life 2, The Longest Journey, or Quake are just some of the most memorable games.
In this article, we have focused on combining the essential classics with current PC games in a single list. We have made a balance between the quality of the game, its importance at the time, and, of course, personal tastes. It is our contribution from Liga de Gamers and, of course, that does not imply that there are no other masterpieces. It is a subjective list!

Black & White is a god simulator that mixes real-time strategy and management with role-playing elements. There are more than enough mechanics and techniques to achieve our goals, in a game only suitable for patients and calculating minds.
84. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Let's be clear: Call of Duty 4 was to blame for modern warfare successfully landing in the video game industry. That title was excellent and remains as such. It's a shooter with a cinematic-quality campaign and unrivaled gameplay. It's not for nothing that a reboot was made in 2019 with Call of Duty Modern Warfare!
Blizzard found the golden goose with Hearthstone. Over the months, countless players have been caught up in this card game that invites us to improve our decks and outwit the opponent. Although it has had some doubtful updates, there is no doubt that it is a quality title and one of the benchmarks of the genre.
82. Assassin's Creed 2
Assassin's Creed is a saga that has had and has its ups and downs. Several of the deliveries are of high quality, while others leave much to be desired. 78. Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005)
Some talk about Need For Speed Underground, others about the first Hot Pursuit, but 2005's Most Wanted deserves to be on this list. Dota 2 is the first of the two MOBAs included in the list and it does so on more than enough merit. The number of characters, its deep gameplay mechanics, and the care of the creators to update and expand the game are just some of its strengths. It remains one of the most played titles on Steam, which is a sign of its quality.
76. Rainbow Six Siege
It started with little speed and many doubts about its future, but Rainbow Six Siege has established itself as one of the great online games. The game requires coordinating well with the team and taking advantage of all the abilities of each class to perfection. It is a more tactical shooting game, very careful, in which the destruction of the environment (very well done!) is part of the strategy.
In its day it was a revolution not only graphically, but also because of the improved enemy AI never seen before. FEAR is a fast-paced shooting game with horror elements, where we are threatened by Alma, a girl dressed in red. As a curious fact, many players were unable to finish the game due to its terrifying appearances. That's how well done the game is!
74. Day of the Tentacle
A purple tentacle threatens to take over the planet. The first impression maybe "this is a silly and absurd game". We will not deny that it is an absurd game, but it is intelligent as a graphic adventure. Three diverse friends must collaborate to face the imminent threat, overcome puzzles and try to act most correctly. You will do it?
73. Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
The first Splinter Cell was an instant success, and with Chaos Theory, the formula was refined and improved to a level never before seen. Splinter Cell Chaos Theory made many of us scratch our heads looking for ways to outsmart enemies and accomplish missions. The play of light and shadow was perfect, the AI more realistic than before and the story, interesting although at the level of previous installments.

Although it is not as "classic" as others, it is an example of how a game should evolve until it is essential for lovers of MMORPGs. And if you are a fan of Final Fantasy, double reason!
50. Path of Exile
If you are a lover of the Diablo saga, you must play Path of Exile. It rivals the game in many ways, and some say it's better than the Blizzard franchise. 49. Hollow Knight

Managing your base, training soldiers, and knowing how to approach each mission has never been more exciting.
41. Resident Evil 2 (Remake)
When a remake makes a list like this, you know something has been done right. Without losing the tension, atmosphere, and vital elements of the original, the facelift and playability that Resident Evil 2 has suffered have been wonderful. It was already a terrifying game back then, but now it's even more so! In other words, it is a title that no survival horror lover should miss out on.
Looks are deceiving. We don't say it just because the graphics, being from 2015, are a bit off. The premise of Undertale is that not everything is what it seems and it has a range of possibilities that can only be discovered by spending hours on it. The story is interesting and gets more as the hours go by. It is impossible to say much because you must experience it for yourself!
39. NieR: Automata
NieR: Automata has risen as one of the action role-playing games and it is not without reasons. Nearly every minute is action-packed as we make our way through a dystopian world to bring humanity back to glory. With well-cared-for role-playing elements and characters, the game invites you to complete it more than once. Why? The game hides interesting secrets!
38. Mass Effects 2
The great space opera was not going to miss its appointment on this list. Mass Effect 2 is considered one of the most perfect games in terms of the cast of characters and consequences for your actions. The game is addictive and catches you from the first moment due to its more than successful gameplay. It gives us the freedom to build our squad and improve our character in various ways.

32. Halo: Combat Evolved
The shooter that started it all. The one that started one of the most memorable sagas today and delved deeper into the narrative. This does not stop it from being fun to fight against the distressing number of enemies until discovering the secrets of Halo, a world in the shape of a ring. A titan within the genre!
Another game that drinks from System Shock 2 and that, in turn, reinforces the narrative section of the game much more. The setting, the enemies, and even the characters, everything is disturbing and it gets worse with every step we take. In this shooting game with RPG elements, what we do and how we do also matters, but more important is surviving enemies like the one in the picture!
30. The Wolf Among Us
The Wolf Among Us is a game very similar to The Walking Dead, due to being from Telltale Games as well. It is considered by many to be the company's masterpiece and the reasons are obvious. In it, there are very careful characters, decisions that make one think, and a fascinating plot that encourages us to get into the role of detective. I hope the sequel comes soon!
29. Doom (2016)
Both the classic Doom and the return of the saga in 2016 are worth being here and are interchangeable. Regardless, you have to admit that bringing that classic flavor to modern times is quite an achievement. Since we just talked about strategy, it's time to talk about this great game set in feudal Japan. Total War: SHOGUN 2 is one of the best titles in the franchise, pardoning others like Medieval 2: Total War. The wealth of tactical possibilities, as well as planning battles and managing economic and political power, is a delight for any fan of strategy.
26. Fallout 3

When wargaming was still booming, Company of Heroes burst in and usurped the spotlight for quite some time. That's right! It is an impressive strategy game, more focused on combat tactics. You must help the soldiers to complete the missions and survive until the end of the war, a task that is not easy.
22. Dark Souls Remastered
Frustrating like few others and at the same time a delight. Dark Soul is a constant challenge to our mettle and patience, in which death is the order of the day. The work in making the environment a giant puzzle is unquestionable. With it, we slowly unravel the story and the lore in a way that has never been seen before.
21. PUBG (PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds)
If you're looking for the culprit behind the success of battle royales, this game is the biggest culprit.
